The Tilnar Cycle Challenge is a fun endurance challenge with participants riding on different stretches of road and terrain. It will depend on an element of rider honesty and is meant to be a fun celebration of cycling that allows you to raise large amounts for charities of your choice. Due to the 15 hour total time frame of the main challenge, it is a personal endurance challenge that will depend on stamina rather than speed. For some serious cyclists it will be fascinating to see how your stamina compares to other cyclists but for many it will just be a social day and a fund raising opportunity.
We will publish tables of distances achieved after the event across various categories and we will scrutinise and require proof of all rides achieving the top positions in each category. Compare yourself against other cyclists in the UK and the World and to set yourself the personal goal of beating it next year. You may even make our Hall of Fame! After the event, each participant will be able to download their Tilnar Cycle Challenge Personal Distance Achievement Certificates which will certify how far they have cycled in the Challenge.

New Time Element
We have introduced a variable time element into this year’s challenge allowing a participant from any category to choose a shorter time period than before. So it is now possible to choose 1hr, 5hrs, 10hrs or the full 15hrs to challenge yourself. This has been a much requested feature and allows much greater flexibility than previously.
